Tamrac 12 Pro
The Tamrac 12 Pro is the largest of Tamrac’s 5000 series camera bags and has been designed for a professional photographer who wants to carry all his equipment with him.. The bag has internal dimensions of 37 x 18 x 22 cm and external dimensions of 50 x 30 x 25 cm. It weighs in at 2410 grams and is sold in either Black or Gray. It is triple-protected against the elements with its Total Coverage Top.
The 12 Pro can hold and protect two units of digital SLRs with their attached lenses and can carry camera accessories and additional lenses. An innovative Memory & Battery Management System™ patented by Tamrac in the US is the distinctive feature of the Tamrac 12 Pro front pockets. This system makes use of red flags and identifies full or used up memory cards and batteries from the ones that are still available.
The main compartment of the bag is foam-padded and features the Lens-Bridge® Divider System, another Tamrac USA patented feature. The divided main compartment can accommodate the biggest digital or film SLRs without detaching their lenses, so they are always ready for action. The cameras are cradled in the divider system allowing space for various lens lengths so that the camera is ready for action once pulled out of the case. The platform where the camera rides is adjustable for a perfect fit and padded for the protection of the equipment from direct contact with other metals and hard surfaces. The buckles used in the Tamrac 12 Pro bags are the Easy Squeeze buckles for quick-access but there is an internal zipper so that the bag and its contents enjoys extra protection. There are extra pockets inside the top which are visible and where filters and accessories can be kept and organized.
The bag also features two front pockets made of ZipDrop™ mesh for organizing accessories and paraphernalia including personal items. These ZipDrop Pockets can function as conventional pockets or can be zipped fully open for easy access and full view, with smaller mesh pockets for accessories. This specially designed bag also has end pockets padded with foam, a plastic bottom which is also foam-padded, an EasyGrip™ handle, tripod straps, a zippered back pocket, a Piggy-Back Pocket and BioCurve shoulder strap for comfortable carrying about. The Easy Grip carrying handle enables the weight to be distributed evenly so that the bag can be carried effortlessly. The Piggy-Back feature enables user to secure the bag to a rolling luggage system for carrying ease. The foam-padding and rigid platform at the bottom protects the equipment inside from shock and vibrations. Pop-off pockets made of windowpane-mesh can hold accessories in plain view for easy retrieval and they are also detachable, so that inspection at airports can be done by hand, reducing the probability of equipment getting damaged by x-ray systems.
