Tamrac Aerospeed Series
The Tamrac Company was founded by wildlife photographers who understood the need for carry bags that could offer support and comfort while carrying large equipment as well as having easy access. Started in California in 1977, Tamrac now produces many different types of camera bags which include special features, addressing the needs of the photographer. The Tamrac Aerospeed series is one of the types of series in the range which focus more specifically on the need for equipment to be quickly available, while still addressing comfort and protection.
There are a variety of bags available in the Tamrac Aerospeed series which range in size, style and color. One of the smaller bags designed for a photographer who uses little equipment or a camcorder is the Aero 92 Compact Camcorder/Camera Bag. Designed to be worn on the shoulder, belt or carried by the handle, the bag offers a foam-protected space for a compact camcorder of just about any size or shape. Another small bag in the range is the Aero Zoom 20 that holds a digital camera. It is also carried by a shoulder strap, belt loop or handle and has two side pockets for memory cards and batteries.
Larger bags in the Tamrac Aerospeed range are more often than not designed as backpack camera bags. While still one of the smaller in the range, the Aero 70 is one of the backpack camera bags that allow for easy access because of a double zipper system. Foam lining in the bag keeps equipment secure in the main compartment and extra mesh pockets allow for accessories and personal objects. The bag can carry a camera, a flash as well as an extra lens and accessories.
Most of the bags in the Tamrac Aerospeed range are protected with not only foam lining and padding, but with weather flaps as well. Photographers often need to use their equipment in rainy conditions or find themselves in extreme weather conditions, especially if they are shooting in the outdoors. These weather flaps and waterproof zips keep the equipment dry and safe, no matter where the photographer is.
One of the main features of the Tamrac Aerospeed range is the fact that they have a dual-access system, allowing the photographer to gain access to the camera through a side pocket when the bag is still on his or her shoulder, as well as through the main back zip like traditional backpacks. Backpacks like the Tamrac Aerospeed Pack 75 and the Tamrac Aerospeed Pack 85 are examples of the camera bags with this feature, designed so that the photographer on the move can reach his or her equipment as quickly as necessary. These bags are also some of the larger ones in the range, providing room for a camera, a few lenses and a flash if need be which are all protected by the traditional foam padding featured in the range. The bags also have space for tripods to be clipped on and have extra mesh pockets for accessories, personal items, memory cards and batteries.
