Tamrac Evolution 8
The Tamrac Evolution 8 gives users quick access to its contents offering versatility still unprecedented in its class of bag. Evolution Messengers enable users to remove the foam-padded shuttle to convert their camera bags easily into briefcases.
The Tamrac Evolution 8 has a unique harness system and can be carried as a backpack or worn over the right or left shoulder as a slingpack. The three ways to get into the bag is called Tamrac’s Triple Access System – with access through two side doors and through the front opening. The size of this camera bag is perfect for a Digital single-lens reflect camera with its lens attachments up to 8” including a flash and a number of additional lenses. The DSLRs are cameras resembling the 35 mm format preferred by both professional and amateur photographers. DSLRs allow its users a choice of interchangeable lenses and it gives a more accurate preview of framing.
DSLR cameras are preferred by photographers because they have larger sensors. Compact digitals do not have this feature. The depths of field and picture angles are more similar to film formats when using cameras with larger sensors. Their signal to noise ration is also comparatively high.
DSLR cameras have to be protected from shock and vibration and the best camera bag for this purpose is the Tamrac Evolution 8. Its external dimensions are 12 ½ x 8 ¾ x 19 inches and it weighs about 2,165 g. They are available in Tan, Brown and Black.
The Tamrac Evolution 8 can easily be converted to a sling pack by cross-connecting a single shoulder strap. It can be carried on the right or left shoulder with the other shoulder strap tucked away in its own harness system. There is a foam-padded pocket at the back of the bag which can easily hold a 15.6 inch screen laptop and other equipment of the same nature including a MacBook.
Another feature of the Tamrac Evolution 8 is a top compartment padded with foam. It provides adequate storage to hold other photo accessories, a light jacket or even a pack of food. Small accessories and gadgets can be kept secure separately in a mesh pocket in the back of the bag while another pocket is located in the inside door panel designed to hold other small items securely. A tripod can be balanced at the centre of the back of the bag cradled with a quick clip attachment system, and the tripod legs are securely held by lower tripod foot pockets. On each side of the bag, there is a pocket closed by zippers so that additional accessories like a phone or iPod can be carried securely. In the right pocket, a removable rain cover can be found, so that the pack is protected even when the weather becomes extreme.
The conception of the camera carrying system by Tamrac began in 1977 with the love of nature photography by Tamrac’s founders. They were outdoor enthusiasts who were professional photographers and found themselves in need of strong camera bags that would offer the excellent protection needed by their equipment and yet be easily accessed when they encountered wildlife and needed to take quick pictures.
Tamrac has been gradually building its reputation for twenty years with outstanding workmanship of its products. The camera bags they produce are of excellent quality especially the Tamrac Evolution 8. The bags undergo product engineering using the finest threads, bag materials and hardware. The bags are designed not only to carry and protect camera equipment, accessories and the personal items of photographers but also to allow quick access. The designs are functional, with the photographer and his shooting needs in mind.
